School Safety
Student safety is our highest priority, and this page provides important information about the procedures and policies we use to keep students safe, including weather delays and closures, illness guidelines, and emergency response protocols.
Keeping your child safe at school is one of our most important responsibilities. Our staff members are trained in emergency preparedness and work closely with the district’s Security Department to develop procedures and schedule safety drills throughout the year. These efforts help ensure that students and staff are prepared to respond calmly and effectively in a variety of situations.
Safety drills include:
- Regular fire drills
- Severe weather (tornado) drills
- Lockdown drills
- Secure perimeter drills
We also maintain procedures for:
- Early dismissal
- Delayed dismissal
- Evacuation Reverse evacuation
- Other emergency situations
