Chrystal Wood, Principal
Hello! My name is Chrystal Wood, and I am the proud principal here at Arrowwood Elementary School (AWE)! I've had the pleasure of being part of the AWE Grizzlies since 2008. At Arrowwood, I was a classroom teacher for several years, and then I was an interventionist, instructional coach, Assistant Principal, and now the Principal here at Arrowwood Elementary!
Previous to AWE, I had the opportunity to work in three different districts. I received my Bachelors Degree from Baylor University, my Masters Degree in Reading from the University of San Francisco, and received my principals certificate through Lamar University.
I have an incredible family that I get to come home to every day. My husband, Brian, works at Mountain Vista High School as a math teacher and the head boys basketball coach. We have two wonderful children--Carly and JJ! Our family stays very busy with sports, enjoying family and friends, and staying active. During my free time I enjoy hiking, running, catching up with friends, and being out in the sunshine.
I am really looking forward to this awesome school year of learning, making friends, and continuing to be apart of this wonderful AWE Grizzly family. I feel privileged to be a part of your child's life during this year. I am here to serve your family, so please reach out anytime.
It will be a marvelous year of growing, learning, and discovering.
Sarah Jane Lane, Assistant Principal
Hello Arrowwood Grizzlies,
My name is Sarah-Jane, and I am thrilled to be the Assistant Principal at Arrowwood. This will be my second year in Douglas County and I
am excited to continue working with the Arrowwood Community. I received my undergrad from Georgetown College and completed my Masters in Educational Leadership with principal's license through the University of Northern Colorado.
This summer has been a busy time at Arrowwood. You might notice some of the changes when you pull up to drop your kids off. We are so excited to welcome all 349 of our students. We strive everyday to teach the whole child. Our commitment to you is to collaborate for the academic, emotional, and social growth of every student.
I feel very fortunate and blessed to be here with your kids everyday. I look forward to greeting everyone at car rider cross walk every morning. We are going to have a wonderful year working together to ensure the success of every student. If you are new
to Arrowwood welcome; if you have been a part of the community welcome back!
Looking forward to a great year,
Sarah Jane
